We're introverts (ok yeah, maybe extroverted ones but still). I think we're doing this because we've been having interesting and unique dialogues about humaning... And we're aware that we're watching the buildup to strange, disorienting, dangerous times.

A record of it (from our vantage points) is good... and connecting with and inventing tribe could end up being important.

We’re fans of the realness and honesty we keep with each other. And even bigger fans of the power of authentic stories... so let's also talk about it.

Why disney? We’re not stanning the megalith. Our politics are pro people, pro earth, pro common fkn sense. We’re just reminiscing a bit. And disney is very much a verb here, like googling. The big D has been a touchstone for family bonding. Yep - it’s verb-worthy.

The negligent Boomies made us our first theme park. They fed us their values through the power of animation. We had them figured out by the time we were teens, of course … but the big D remained.

It remained because it was built on storytelling. Storytelling is transcendent. It’s our lifeblood as a species. It’s how we do SO MANY things. Through stories, we share knowledge, preserve history, learn to empathize, process our complex emotions and make abstract concepts concrete. Stories connect us.

As we disney and chill, we’re connecting, with intention. It’s gratifying and illuminating. Even after all this time, we’re learming important things about the human condition … and lets face it, the Zoomies still need our wisdom (even if they don’t think so). Hang with us and connect.
